I have a great idea for a design, how do I complete a custom order?

Oh heck yes! Bring that idea right on over and I will make it a reality for you. Follow these steps:

  1. Contact EM.K! You can DM me, email me, or contact me via the form on the website.
  2. Inspiration! I can help you pick out the materials and design, or you can send me your thoughts, inspiration, and ideas.
  3. Free quote! I will send a quote for the price and approximate time it will take to make, and then receive, the custom piece for free.
  4. Revision time! I will send you pictures of the piece prior to beading, during beading, and after beading. You can make an infinite amount of corrections.
  5. Listing! After you are 110% thrilled with the product, I will create a custom listing for you (with free shipping, of course!) for you to purchase.
  6. The end! I will ship the product out within 72 hours and soon enough, you will have a custom EM.K piece in your possession!

I can't wait for my purchase to arrive! How long until then?

YAY! I can’t wait for you to strut your EM.K piece either! In-stock pieces not requiring any size adjustments will usually ship within 1-2 business days of receiving cleared payment. Custom designs and pieces requiring size adjustments take longer to be ready to ship. If you need your item(s) within a specific time frame, please let me know! I am always willing to work with you, my amazing customers.

I need this product in my life! What are the shipping options?

I think you would look great in an EM.K design! Shipping is always FREE within the United States. Free shipping is automatically calculated at checkout. Do you need it sooner? If so, we offer UPS next-day, UPS 2-day, and UPS 3-day options that are calculated while you checkout. Please note that these options will only show up if they are available to your location. If you need a different shipping option than the ones presented, please reach out and I will do our best to accommodate your needs!

I love EM.K’s pieces! But, unfortunately, I am not in the United States. Do you ship internationally? 

I <3 international customers! Thank you for seeking EM.K out! I do ship internationally. We ship via UPS. Please note that the shipping options presented are the ones available to your address. However, if you need a different shipping option than the ones presented, please reach out and I will do our best to accommodate your needs!

I just have to purchase this design, but not sure if you take my card…what payment methods do you accept?

Do not let payment methods be a burden to your purchase! I accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover, JCB, Diners Club, Elo), as well as Shopify Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal. If your payment method is not listed here, I also can accept Venmo and Zelle. It is my goal to work with you and accommodate you to the best of my ability!

Ugh! I unfortunately need to return my purchase, what is the return policy?

Darn! I am awfully sorry it did not work out! You can return our full return policy here. Our return policy is that your product is eligible for return within 30 days from the purchase date. Please email EM.K at to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization number and the address in which to mail the return. After receiving this number, please package the item and include your proof of purchase. As much as I hate to do this, please note that you will be responsible for all shipping charges. After receiving your return, please allow at least seven (7) days to process your return and issue a refund.

Darn it, my jewelry broke! What do I do?

Oh no! For how much pride I take in my pieces and their sturdy crafting, life happens, and jewelry always holds the risk of breaking. However, should a product require repair, I gladly will repair it within 30 days of purchase. Simply message me, mail it back to me, and at no cost to you, I will repair it!

Where is EM.K located?

EM.K Designs & Co. is an online e-commerce store, but my studio is located in Charlotte, NC. I bounce between Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC during the year.

I LOVE these designs, but want to see them in person, do you have physical stores? 

Ugh! I wish! While you can buy each item online, but if you wish to see my work in-person instead, we also sell in a couple boutiques. At the moment, you can find EM.K in Revolution Clothiers in Charlotte, NC and L.A. East in Charlotte, NC.

Are all of EM.K’s designs handmade? 

As a matter of fact, yes! This is a one-woman show. All EM.K materials have been handpicked by myself and all EM.K pieces have been handmade by myself in my studio in Charlotte, NC.

I care about the environment and other people; how do you source your materials?

I care about the environment and other people too! That is why for the actual designing component, I only buy my materials from other small businesses. Each piece is handcrafted by myself and I am a major supporter of small businesses. It is second nature to me, for I am aware of how each purchase makes a difference. Additionally, I often source Fair Trade. The global community of enterprises that comprise the World Fair Trade Organization focus on business that puts people and the planet before their profit. They are pioneers of fighting poverty, climate change, gender inequality and injustice. Everything that EM.K stands for is possessed by the Fair-Trade community. 

Helping others is important to me, how does EM.K give back to the community?

Oh heavens, yes! EM.K Designs & Co. too is deeply committed to philanthropic activities. I donate a portion of every sale to Girls Inc. and Equal Justice Initiative to provide financial support.
